On
゛Patterns of Plants, played on the
clavichord″The clavichord, which
J. S. Bach loved, was a convenient
instrument which could be carried
to anywhere for practicing and for
composing. A simple mechanism of the
instrument generates a variety of
subtle nuances in its sound expression.
The series of メPatterns of Plantsモ
consisted of some collections of pieces,
which were grouped as some piano collections
and a harpsichord collection. From
the previous collections, I newly
compiled メPatterns of Plants, a clavier
collection.モ From the new collection,
I chose some pieces, discussing with
pianist Satoru Sunahara who was interested
in playing the clavichord. In 2007,
we had a concert entitled ゛Patterns
of Plants, played on the clavichord″
at Jiyugakuen Myonichi-kan in Tokyo.
The occasion lead to this CD. When
listening to the delicate sounds of
the clavichord played by Mr.Sunahara,
we can notice that ゛Patterns of Plantsモ
transforms itself to ″a fragile sonic
tapestry.モ (Mamoru Fujieda)
